چکیده

The field trial was conducted in Central Research Farm (CRF) at SHUATS, Prayagraj, during Kharif-2021-22. experiment laid out RBD (Randomized Block Design) and replicated thrice with seven treatments. Viz., T1 Indoxacarb 14.5%EC, T2 Flubendiamide 39.5%SC, T3 Emamectin benzoate 5%SG, T4 Bacillus thuringiensis 5% WP, T5 Spinosad 45% SC, T6 Neem oil 4%, T7 Chlorantraniliprole 18.5%SC, (T8) untreated Control tested to compare the percent fruit infestation against Helicoverpa armigera their influences on yield of Tomato. lowest best economical treatment were recorded 45 SC followed by 14.5% 18.5% SG, 39.5% thuringenesis WP 4% as compared control T8. highest obtained 45SC (260q/ha) 14.5%SC (245q/ha), (225q/ha), 5%SG (200q/ha) (185q/ha), (163q/ha) (149q/ha) T8 (80q/ha). After calculating benefit-cost ratio different treatments B: C observed for (1:8.8) (1:8.3), Chlorantraniliprole18.5% (1:7.6), (1:7.2), SG (1:6.8), (1:6.3), (1:5.6), (1:2.8) having ratio.

Role of salicylic acid in tomato defense against cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera Hubner.

We investigated the role of the salicylic acid (SA) signaling pathway in defense responses of tomato plants to the herbivore, cotton bollworm. After exposure to the cotton bollworm, tomato leaves rapidly accumulated a high level of SA. The transcription of PR1 and BGL2 genes, the marker genes of SA pathway, was up-regulated. An enhanced endogenous SA level was accompanied by an increase in the ...

Response of Cotton Bollworm Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) (Lepidoptera:noctuidae) to Different Insecticides in Maharashtra, India

This study deals with Insecticide Resistance Management of cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera to five commonly used insecticides on cotton were carried out during 2008. In August, LD value for 50 chlorpyriphos varies from 0.046μg/larva in Parbhani district to 0.172 mg/larva during October in Aurangabad district. Resistance to chlorpyriphos was highest in Aurangabad district (3.65-8.25 fold) f...

Nutritional Performance of the Tomato Fruit Borer, Helicoverpa armigera, on Different Tomato Cultivars

The development and cultivation of tomato cultivars that are resistant to the tomato fruit borer, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), are very limited in Iran and other parts of the world because of the lack of information about resistant tomato cultivars to minimize the use of insecticides. Therefore, the present study was carried out to identify alternative methods to chem...

Efficacy of Some Synthetic and Biopesticides Against Pod Borer, Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) in Chickpea

Efficacy of some synthetic and biopesticides against pod borer, Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) damage in chickpea was studied at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Ishurdi, Pabna, Bangladesh during rabi cropping season of 2004-05. Synthetic and biopesticides reduced pod borer damage significantly. Significantly lowest pod damage was observed in cypermethrin (5.75%) and HNPV (5.86%) spra...

Bioactivity of non-edible oil seed extracts and purified extracts against Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner).

Extracts and purified extracts of seeds of two plant species, Madhuca latifolia and Calophyllum inophyllum when evaluated against the 2nd instar larvae of Helicoverpa armigera reared on synthetic diet, exhibited high larval mortality, prolongation of developmental period, morphological deformities and highly significant reduction in adult emergence. The reduction in larval weights in the treatm...
